Their collection “Hardcore Foamcore” is a sculptural and photographic exploration shot during the mandatory COVID-19 lockdown. Umar and Gorbacheva utilized objects sourced from spaces not deemed “off-limits” by city regulations. They used available stones, dirt, budding flowers, food refuse, and cleaning supplies from their homes and local parks. “Hardcore Foamcore” aims to examine the delicate relationship between permanent and temporal materiality during a time of societal uncertainty.

This collection plays a role in the partnership between TheseFineWalls and Supplies for Success, a non-profit organization that provides school supplies, art kits, and backpacks to children in need. By donating a portion of each "Hardcore Foamcore" sale, TheseFineWalls has helped Supplies for Success donate more than 15,000 art kits to students from underprivileged families and communities.
