Commissioned and published by These Fine Walls under the creative direction of founder Lisa Eryn, Collective Effervescence combines Dan Martland's original photograph of the rainbow that illuminated the New York sky on June 12, 2026, with artwork by Danielle Becker of Lefty's Right Mind to preserve a remarkable moment in New York history.
On the evening before the New York Knicks' championship victory, a rainbow appeared over New York City and quickly captivated thousands. As images spread across social media, New Yorkers found themselves sharing more than a photograph. They were sharing hope, belief, and the feeling that something extraordinary was about to happen.
Named after the sociological phenomenon that describes the energy created when people come together around a shared experience, Collective Effervescence celebrates the powerful connection between a city and its team. The rainbow became a symbol not only of collective belief among fans, but also of the values embodied by the 2026 New York Knicks: trust, resilience, commitment, determination, and the belief that extraordinary things can happen when people come together in pursuit of a common goal.
The artwork commemorates a rare moment when a city rallied behind its team, a team believed in one another, and together they created something larger than themselves.
Fifteen percent of proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
