Steven Meisel: ‘Role Play’ Exhibition

Steven Meisel is one of the most renowned fashion photographers in the industry. He is responsible for capturing some of the fashion world’s most innovative campaigns and is notable for his work in major fashion publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, W Magazine. Meisel has shot every Vogue Italia cover and editorial since 1988 and has collaborated with Madonna on her erotic coffee table book, Sex, in 1992.
The photographs in Role Play are stunningly captured and extremely recognizable, with star-power rivaling any coverage of New York, London, and Paris Fashion Weeks combined. From a 1989 photo of Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington to a 2005 shot featuring Natalia Vodianova, this curated sampling of Meisel’s collection speaks to his overall genius as a photographer.
